My character application for the Governor of Lavassa for the roleplay group #Rise-of-Anhur
Name: Adalae Daskem
Age: 29 Years
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2"
Race: Human
Class: Thief (scout)
Occupation: Governor of Lavassa
Residence: Lavassa, Bastien Empire
Faction: Order
Personality: Adalae is, for a lack of a better term, a closed book. Although outwardly very sociable, charming and confident, he tends to avoid intimate relationships at all costs. Despite this, he cares about others, and though he opposes violence as a means to an end, he has a morbid sense of humor that often confuses and angers others.
History/Description: Adalae spent many of his childhood years journeying the sea as the Captain's son on the trade ship where he was born along with his sister, Calla. During a more profitable venture, when Adalae was 14, the ship was raided by pirates. All of the passengers and workers were killed, including Calla and his Father.. Adalae barely escaped with his life, using the bodies of his deceased shipmates to hide amongst the chaos. Days passed before he was rescued, and when he returned to The Imperial City of Bastien, had to have his hand amputated due to gangrene.
His father's death, having been one of the most respected Captains amongst the Emperor's fleet, allowed Adalae a new home as a live-in servant in The Palace of the Emperor.In the years that followed, Adalae rebuilt himself from the ground up, all the while hungering for the respect and power that had been taken from him aboard that trading ship.
He fought his way up and up, until he was eventually accepted into the Emporer's council and after many menial, pandering jobs and after proving to be savvy was appointed-- since nobody else wanted to do it--Governor of Lavassa.
Additional Info: Adalae is vehemently against the worship of Anhur or any other gods. Also, he has an array of different attachments for his amputated hand, including a corkscrew, a hammer, a curved blade and different culinary utensils, as well as others. His mother took off shortly after he was born, though he was told by his father that she died during childbirth.
